I suggest NOT using red slime remover. I've seen a lot of problems happen with it and it just covers up the real problem. Do what Len says. Maybe I read it wrong but I sorta fail to see how a single dead snail could cause cyano ...

Remember that these guys looooooooove zoanthids. I have even seen them occasionally go after aiptasia and lps. So if you have a reef and you love your LPS and your zoanthids (I dont care about your aiptasia) ... you need to choose between corals or fish.

I wouldnt waste money on that bet. ;)

I see no problem with a pistol shrimp. They make great additions to nano reefs - as long as it IS a pistol shrimp. Depending on which one it is there are even gobies that will host with them. People often buy pistol shrimps to put in their tanks on purpose. I think nano reefs are a great way...

Cyano is caused by more than just raised ph or phosphates. Outdated lightning can also be the cause as well.
