How often should I change the media in my CA reator? Do I just top it off or get rid of the what remains and use all new media?

I just set up my CoralHound dual reactor in my lightly stocked 180. How should I adjust and fine tune this thing? I am currently running about 60 bubbles per minute and about 100 ml per minute. Does more bubbles mean higher CA and Alk? Thanks for the help.
