I recently replaced the cc with SouthDown in my 180. It's a lot of work, mess and hassle. Why go through that if you're going to do a new tank in six months?
The Ocean Current products suck! I bought two and returned them both because I thought they were defective. The two new ones were the same. I then bought two Sea Swirls and they're great.

I personally spent hundreds on several of these products when I was starting - then stopped and noticed absolutely no difference – except I have more money for things that do make a difference – like a great skimmer and ca reactor...
I just set up my CoralHound dual reactor in my lightly stocked 180.
How should I adjust and fine tune this thing? I am currently running about 60 bubbles per minute and about 100 ml per minute.
Does more bubbles mean higher CA and Alk?
