Thanks for the reply, i know reptiles can barely see red light so thats why i used it for my terrarium. And i would go buy moonlight LED's but i dont have money right now and had this red bulb laying around so i just rigged it to the back of my tank, hoping it would be okay to use it. thanks again

I have an "exo-terra" red night time bulb that i used to use in my terrarium. would it be okay to use at night in my fish tank? can the fish see the red light? any 'bad' light in it, i.e lots of uv rays? thanks in advance

O my damsels are afraid of everything especially my hand. I dont even see them when i clean my tank and so far i have never seen my clown or damsels be aggressive towards each other or the tang. And hopefully im getting the 120 and if not I know a few people who have tanks that i can give it to...

Well i finally got a camera(phone) so sorry the picture isnt great but here is one anyways. 29 gallon -1 maroon clown -1 sailfin tang -3 damsels -1 feather dusters -various snails and crabs nothing special but i have a (very)limited budget :D I hope the picture is okay I have never posted...

I purchased this one and have been using a few drops of Kent Micro-Vert every few days as directed on the bottle. And its still alive, its just the opening looks like it wants to close but it somehow keeps poking through. Im beggining to think its just normal...

Yeah it got moved down the list really fast... But yeah its alive and still comes out at night usually and sometimes during the day but not nearly as much as it did a few weeks ago. Hmm i guess ill just wait and see...

I have had a feather duster for about a month or two and it has been doing great as far as i can tell. Just yesterday I was doing maintanence on my tank and water changes and stuff and I noticed one of my reef crabs was picking and eating its tube. So i took it off and moved it to the other end...

I dont keep any corals except for 1 leather coral and i used to have a 20 long, and then i switched to a 29. The 29 really opens up your options for corals that grow high. I would go with the 29 for the more volume and height aspect. But i dont know much on lighting for corals sorry. HTH

Alright if its known as carbonate hardness i might actually have some test strips with that test on it. But thanks for the replies I could very well be wrong. So is it alkalinity the same as KH or carbonate hardness?

Alright ive never checked the alkalinity in my tank before is there a test kit I can buy for that or something?? Im assuming its alright because everything is alive in my tank and has been for a while. Bubble algae growth is good :D . Thanks for the tips, My calcium is a little high in my tank...

Yep I do the same thing X said...seems to work but you just have to stay on top of it and not let it get too out of control if you can.

Hey i have been trying to get some decent coraline growth in my tank...not working too well. Does anybody have some nice little tips or methods out there? What seems to work for all you people who have it growing well? thanks
