Hey - it's great to be back after a looooong hiatus! I wonder who's around who remembers me? After all this time, I'm building the reef of my dreams in a gorgeous 150 gal! Here is the foundation for my new reef adventure. Tell me what you think!
  4. The day I had to hand in my master's thesis

Starting over It's been a really, really long time since I've been here. Since I posted this post in particular, it's been a REALLY long time. 12 years. I live half a country away (Kansas), and my masters theses have both paid off. I have a great job, and I've just bought a house for...

  11. Office tank

The tank in my Overland Park, KS, office is the 16 gal Innovative Marine nano. It's a sleek, beautiful tank, but I bought it without the lights - I saved several hundred dollars by purchasing LEDs locally. So far that tank is pretty empty, but here it is: SPS colony - possibly pocillopora...
  12. New State, New Tanks

So I'm all set up in Overland Park, Kansas (a suburb of Kansas City, MO), and I've got two tanks going here. One is in the Pre-Kindergarten classroom of the Nursery School in my synagogue (Congregation Beth Shalom). Here is that one: JBJ 28 Gal Nano: One Percula Clown One Royal Gramma One...
  13. Daisy's News from Kansas City

Hi everyone! Well, my daughters and I moved to Overland Park, KS in June - dismantled the tank and gave away all the corals, fish and live rock. It was one of the saddest things I've ever had to do, and at the same time, it gave me joy, because I know that my animals ended up in good hands...
