I think it will work but do it slowly to fast is no good in reef tanks i raised mine from 1300 to 1500 in 3 weeks i have lot of sps so i dont want to kill anything

Your bulbs also need to be replaced. T5 is only good from 9 to 12 months depending on hours used.

Your already at the tail end.

I agree on the sock filters. I don't use any.

I will change them this week i run filter socks they catch a lot of junk

When you change the bulbs. Don't change them all at the same time or it will shock your corals. Unless your fixture can be raised a few inches and gradually brought back down.
