Hello Everyone, been doing research on peacock mantis. My biggest issue is making sure his PVC burrow is up to par. Based on research a 3 inch one in diameter at about 2-3x their body length is recommended. Is this what the PVC burrow is suppose to look like? It’s going into a 50 gallon breeder. I’m going to have to cut it shorter I’m thinking from 37 inches total down to 24 inches. Also is it the straight pipe has to be 2/3x their body length or the entire burrow?

Your setup looks good! A 3-inch diameter PVC is perfect, and a length of 2 to 3 times their size is ideal. You can cut it to 24 inches if necessary, as long as the mantis can turn around in it comfortably. In general, it is the straight part of the tube that must respect this length. Also, make sure to bury him well so that he feels safe!
