i reccently had my octopus lay eggs. the eggs did hatch into freefloating planktonic young and have all died i just want to know, if this ever happens again, if anyone has ever raised them before.
When I was raising O. joubini the easiest and surest way to feed the hatchlings were copepods and amphipods raised in an other tank. If you have a refugium on a reef tank that is an ideal place to build up a steady supply of copepods and amphipods. Be forewarned that the the young are ravenous feeders and will need a copious amount food.
Do you have any idea of the species of Octopus?
