I recently set up a 10G to breed ?copepods? those little half moon shaped guys and mysis etc...
I live off the coast of maine so all I need to do to get a few pods to start breeding them is go to the local tide pool or shore and scoop a few out. They do well once slowly acclimated, and breed in captivity quite nicely. My 75G has quite a few and when they try to sneak out my yellow tail damsels make short work.. as I'm sure the zooanthids and condylictus do.
My last trip provided me with a surprise... A whole bunch of these little guys I at first though Mackeral frye, but closer inspection clearly shows Shrimp.
Are these Krill or a Mysis? I'm not sure if all krill "glow in the dark"
