Well, I woke up today to find what seems to be thousands(?) there's a lot! Of really small white things all over the glass (mostly the back glass) of the tank.
They are extremely small, yet seem able to swim.
It's a reef tank. Current occupants include 24 Astrea Snails, 5 Blue Hermits, 1 Yellow Tang, 2 Gold Striped Clowns, and 1 Cleaner Shrimp. Also have a Wellsophyllia, some Pulsating Xenia, some Giant Xenia, a hairy mushroom, and a blue striped mushroom rock.
Here's the kicker - I don't recall seeing these yesterday, although they could have been there - it's the shear nubers that made me notice them today.
The clowns, blue musroom, Pulsating Xenia, and 1/2 of the Astreas were just added yesterday (from two different reputable dealers).
All the fish seem to be OK. No I did not quarantine, or fresh water dip the clowns.
Has anybody got any ideas what these things might be and/or what I should do about it?
ANY help or advice would be appreciated!
Fred
