I could not act fast enough to snap a shot, but I saw this weird creature in my tank last night. It was about 5mm long and swam around for about 10 seconds before settling into the rock. It was at night about 2am. The color is beige/peach. Anyone know what it is? Is it reef safe?
Adult bristle worms generally don't swim. But they do go through a free swimming larval stage so that is a possibility. Regardless it is likely an errant polycheate worm and I wouldn't be too concerned with it. They are generally not a problem in most systems.

actually bristle worms are pink and purple in color. i don't believe those are bristle worms but i do know what you are talking about.... i had seen them when i was stocking my quarantine tank w/ copepods. i tried to find out what they are but i can't see a clear enough picture of them online to identify them either.
