I have been noticing two somewhat strange things in my tank the last few weeks. The first is what seems to be flourescent orange algae growing on my rocks and overflow. it is never much, usually about the size of a button on a cell phone, and then it dissappears within hours. i can see it during the day, but it really stands out under the actinics.
the second seems to be a type of starfish looking creature, which has six "arms" and is only about the size of a popcorn kernel. i have seen as many as three of them at once, and they seem to follow each other around the tank.
I am fairly new to the hobby, and these might all be perfectly normal, but i figured i would ask. I will try to take pictures tonight.
