Leather Coral and Worms IDs - Please Help

Hi,
I just got this coral on 3/13/09 from aquarium store on Manhattan:

All I know about it is that it is a leather of some sort, could you be more descriptive?

Also,
Yesterday (3/14/08) I noticed a white worm on another rock. It appeared today again towards the evening and now there are two of them.
They are white, very thin and one of them is about 1" long, maybe longer...
I will try to capture them on the camera next weekend...

If I think what you are talking about then the worms are reef safe. Are they like collecting little rocks to make a cave for themselves?
