amphipods in my FO aquarium refugium

i have what has been identified as amphipods. they must have hitched a ride on mangroves that i picked in puerto rico and put in my tank. my refugium is full of them. is it a good idea for me to introduce them to the aquarium? to consume some of the detritus? will they eat up the copopods?

They will not do much damage to your copepods. They are a great addition to a tank. They provide food for fish and corals (if you had corals) as well as eat detritus
