I just received this piece from a local reefer and put it into my tank Saturday night.

Looks like aiptasia to me but would like a second opinion. I have one that is 3" in in diameter and two off spring about 0.5" in diamter only on one rock that I just put into my tank.If so what has worked for you?

a) Remove rock immediately and place in qt.
b) Joe's juice
c) Good old regular kalk past
d) Syringe of boiling RO water
e) Peppermint Shrimps
f) Physically remove
g) Berghia

Option B and C usually worked for me for that particular rock...but then they started springing up on other rocks...and it became a minor battle.
The rock it originated on cleared up fine!

I should have placed it in qt but I don't have strong enough lights to have noticed it anyway.

I guess I'll just yank it and hope for the best and that I caught it in time to not spread everywhere else.

some peppermint shrimp will refuse to eat it.. more so if they have other food in the tank which was my case once.. 2 never touched any of them

You should try joe's juice. For me, it took a couple of tries to dose it enough that it actually died instead of just coating it and burning it down. It reappeared in one or two more places, but after about a month and a half and keeping a watchful eye of things, all was well. The trick is, less is more, just sort of stream the stuff into the mouth of the aiptasia.
