Help with red algea ID please. My tang has been picking at it a bit, so the leaves appear a little beat up.

I don't think that it is the kind of algea that is typically in the tangs diet. If it was, he would have eaten it up before it had a chance to grow. But he has been testing it out for sure. Possibly some kind of calcareous algea since it is fairly ridgid. Either way, it looks nice and it is the only red thing in my tank. I'll keep my fingers crossed that it doesn't become a weed.
