She is in my sons nano. He has no other inhabitants any longer, she took care of that. She was found down at the dock in a rubble rock that he reeled up, he put it in a soda bottle and home to his tank, that was last summer. My son is seven and is having difficulty understanding that he can't have anyone else in the tank with this crab. But if I can find a link with info on them, then I can have him read it and understand that the crab has to go, or be the only one.

TIA

Yes we can get it out of the tank, not sure really what to do with it though. I guess we could bring it back down to the water where it came from but I would want to wait until summer when the temps of the water increase considering this one has been in his tank for nearly a year in warmer waters than the water is now.

You got him out of LI Sound? If you've had him for a year, why not keep him?

When we were snapper fishing with lil' man off of Mascot Dock in Patchogue that is where he found this critter. I have no problem keeping the crab, but lil' man really wants something else and is not understanding that it is one or the other. Unless of course we add other critters like this crab that can hold their own. He wants a coris wrasse after looking at fish pics with Daddy.

And we will be unable to have one in our tank once its ready, so he said well then put it in mine. I don't see that working out. This crab is about the size of a half dollar. Was less than the size of a penny last summer.
