I cant get a picture(This is the hole, notice the random food/waste/dead hermit)
I found something hiding in my rocks. Ive seen it in 2 holes, not sure if its the same arm/tentical or even same animal.
All ive seen so far is a pink(or perhaps peach) arm/tentical with white dots/hairs.
It looks like what I would expect a small octopus' arm looks like.
Every so often I see it(arm) stick out of the hole(which is on the bottom of the rock, so it might be a big cave) to feel around. as soon as i shine a light on it it disappears.
Ill try to get a pic.

Does it look like one of these guys?
Bristleworm.jpg

They are bristle worms. You don't want to touch the bristles as they will end up in your finger..and trust me they hurt!
They are not bad for your tank and live within the rocks, though they will come out at night to roam around. They eat detritus and any left over food.

maybe.
dang those things are nasty!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, usually light pinkish in color, with a stripe on them, white fuzzy bristles along all of the edges and if they see you they will usually withdraw back into their rock, though I've never noticed any eyes on them.

That pic is from when I did my last upgrade and I pulled those guys out of the sand I was throwing out. The big one in the pic was 12" long.
As much as I don't like crawly things..I spared their lives and dumped them into my sump...as long as I don't have to touch them..they can live happily. :)
