while moving stuff around I pulled a coral off the rocks and found this growing under the the base. It's very bright and I have no idea what it is.
they look like acans in structure.

the lights are off, sorry. i will get a better shot through the glass in the morning.

I did not feel the skeleton, but it was a bit squishy and slimy

yes it was under the base no light

it is real nice looking, unfortunately it does not seem to like the light. it grew away
from the light not into it

Dibs! good find Jon, just don't expose it to too much light right away.

Shaun i don't think it will live or grow in the light. i can try to mount it in the front at some angle where you could see it. but it was growing between the two rocks, with hardly any space. I also can't frag it easily, as it's on the base of the coral :arg:

edit: ok I just had to look at it again. i have to take back what i just said. it looks like it's starting to grow out from under the edges.
there is a little bit peeking out. it was positioned high up in the tank right under a light, so maybe it was acclimating itself to it?
