i do believe this is some type of favia, was attached to a small piece of rock i seen at lfs and got it to see if i can bring it back further to life, has a slight tint of green and getting better after 2 days

I would have said so with the growth pattern but the color and where its highlighting is def P. Maldivensis. Cyph, although real close in growth, doesn't highlight at the crests but instead has a more uniform coloration. It also doesn't glow when you take a pic of it (or look under aquarium lighting) like maldiv does. i'm 99.9% sure. the other .1% is that feeling i don't wanna be wrong on these forums :screama:

This is one of my favorite coral. Poeple say its hard to get to keep alive for some reason. I have an orange and a green, Orange loves mid/high light and high flow, Green is med to high flow and low to med light. Real slow grower. You'll know its happy when it forms small threads off the crests of the mouths like polyp extensions (fleshy all over). I'll try to get a pic if you want.

it's small and yes beat up somewhat. it was attached to a piece of rubble facing almost down, just happen to see it, wasnt f\s except as a piece of rock :hug: so he gave it to me
