found this scooting along on my rock this morning, before i dump it into sump or back into tank interested in what it is

It looks like a Chitons. It should be able to pull itself into a ball when frighten. They usually don't come out when the lights are on. They're harmless as they eat algae. Most of the time they don't make it as they get damaged in shipping and don't recover

How fast was it scooting? It looks like a Chiton, but they don't move very fast.

ty marrone, used that word for search and found it. looks to be reef safe, but i dumped it in my rsb. ty

i have a chiton too, no idea where it came from but comes out every night :eat:

I found a few under a rock one day just after my lights went on. White and small about 1/16"=1/8"
