Looks like tube worms/ small feather dusters. They are harmless filter feeders.

Lawn Mower Blennies usually won't eat algae when it gets long. You probably could use a phosban reactor. Are you running one now and do you use rodi water?

IMO the little feather duster worms look nice in the tanks I've seen them. Do you know what color/s yours are yet?

No, those type feather dusters don't get any bigger.
Are you planning to get a rodi unit? It will help immensely in getting better quality water into your tank. The tap water filters don't remove all of the impurities in our water. Wet/dry filters are a big source of nitrates in aquariums. Both of these things add to nusiance algae issues.

Do you have the space under your tank to add a sump instead of the wet/dry?
Any pics?

Do you have live rock? The rock will be your bio filtration, the bioballs will become a nitrate factory if they haven't already

Dragon..what they are telling you is that bioballs by their nature create additional nitrate in your tank. When you remove them, you cannot take them all out at once as a lot of your good bacteria is living within them.
You need to remove some of them and then let your rock build up the additional bacteria it needs to make up for their removal. As I understand it that should be accomplished in 2 days.
I'd take some out (no idea how big your wet dry is..)..figure 1/10 of them, every other day or every 3rd day until they are gone.
If you post a pic of the wet dry I'm sure we can help tell you how you can turn it into a 'regular' sump or fuge.

btw - took a look at your pics..pretty tank! Off to a great start :)
