My CUC is made up of mostly snails but I do have some dwarf blue legged hermits and scarlet hermit crabs. A few days ago I was looking in the rock crevices trying to find my black leopard wrasse which I hadn't seen in a week or so and I found this crab in the pics. I haven't added any hermit crabs in almost a year but this was the first time seeing this crab. White/light brown legs (looks nothing like my crabs). I removed him from the display tank and placed it in my frag tank as a precaution. The next morning, the algae blenny I kept in my frag tank was dead. Still no sign of the black leopard either.

Can anyone ID this crab? Is it possible that either blue legged or hermit crabs change to this color pattern once they grow?

I don't trust this guy. Just remembered I bought a piece of tonga branch from an LFS a couple weeks ago and that's possibly how he got into my tank. I don't personally eat crab or I would've cooked him by now. He's in my sump if anyone wants him
