What type of Percula??

I recently bought two one and a quarter inch percula clownfish. Below are two pictures of them. They definitely aren't your average percula clowns but what would you call them? I know they are far from premium picassos, but they are very young and have very nice markings. Just looking for some input as to whether they are just misbar perculas, fancy, ultra grade, semi-picasso, picasso, or just plain perculas. Any help is welcome, these two will be paired up and become broodstock because I'd like to see what theyre offspring have in store for me.

They look like ORA tank breed true Percs . Very nice pair

if what you are trying to achieve is a different brood stock stay away from purchasing the same fish from the same tank. find another from a seperate location to avoid further inbreeding and defects.

yes, of course, i mis-wrote (mis-spoke) when i said "paired up". I didnt really mean these two paired up together. I have many other designer clowns, and im interested in seeing what genes these two pass on with some of my other broodstock. Ive always been hesitant to pair fish from the same store let alone the same tank. If they can from the distributor at the same time, even tho they might even be in different tanks, they still might be from the same clutch. Who knows these days. Im sure some intense inbreeding has gone on to get us some of these more brilliant designer fish faster than waiting for the morphs to happen naturally in several different gene pools and start from there. But of course i could be absolutely wrong as well. IDK. Thanks for the reminder tho Skene!

I just checked out ORA's website, looking at all of their own descriptions of their designer clownfish. I really think these guys, especially the one on the left whos middle line connects to his line behind the eyes and even the other with cheek spots and a cross-pattern midbody stripe, (once they get a little bigger and the black starts to grow in) will look a lot more like Picasso grade than just Percula grade. Heres a pic of a mature ORA Picasso clown with the black grown in already, so its mature, right from ORA, and a normal ORA Percula clown with black grown in also, right from ORA's website as well.

Theyre Everywhere!! It shouldnt be a problem, especially now, to find designer or just true perculas captive bred or occelaris, usually ORA or SA, and at a decent price, depending on size.

Well I work at a lfs and he gets his corals from Ora, and his fish from a wholesaler, but there all true tank raised percs

Nope... Because he gets his coral from Ora he is very pricy... If he has a nice fish or invert ill buy one
