New Tank ID

Hi everyone,

I just recently started my first reef tank. I've had a lot of freshwater, but this is my first saltwater!

Anyway, I ended up buying some live rock off a MR member, and it had some things on it! I'm a bit curious as to what they are.

The first is a brown thing that pops out of holes in the rock. The other is a reddish thing that pops out of white tubes encrusting the rock. Any ideas as to what they are? Thanks!

thanks. Ill try using a pair of tweezers to yank them off

Bad idea. They will just spread. Take the rock out of your tank and cook it.

Ok just did it. They turned gray went the boiling water hit them LOL
