please id this frag, it has purple skin and bright white polyps, kinda soft. i glued it to a rock and flops over it and doesnt stand up. its round on the topside and concave on the bottom i think it may be a piece of chili coral

Looks like White Star Polyps(Paraclavularia) though it could be an encrusting Gorgonian(Braireum sp.) Actually, i think it would be Briareum sp. in any case, as they were combined.

so how does it grow, does it spread over the rock it is on? it looked like a branch when i got it unattached.
