Could someone help me out with what this is? About 6inX4in in size for $30 sound like a deal?

That is a fair price. For that size, it's very fair. I have 3. I paid 20 each and that one has more branches then mine. Remember, non photo, so you need a nice cave for it. They only fully open at night with no lights on. Or when your spot feeding phyto. Personally, I wish I only had 1, it's def. not my favorite. Kinda boring IMO

That shop looks fermillar... Reef encounters?

I haven't seen any at my lfs. This place is called sea creatures. I thought it was decent price for the size. Do they not like intense light? I have a 29 gal biocube with the 150 watt hqi metal halide and a 453nm actinic blue led strip added on. I got the vortech 10 so there is a lot of water movement

I kept one of those along with a couple of others. As mentioned they do better in caves or under ledges with good water movement and need to be feed almost everyday. Mine only fully opened at night too which is when I fed them. For me, in my reef, it played havoc with my water quality with all those feedings. It slowly died over a few years because I just couldn't keep up all the feedings and keep good water quality for my SPS.
