Sorry, my cable modem went out yesterday. Order has been put on hold.

I am told by other reefers (on RC) that they currently have mouse pads in their setups & no negative feedbacks. They said it's made out of neoprene. Do a search on RC for neoprene to satisfy yourself.

I just might have to be the guinie on this one, although you guys are scaring me now!

Most mouse pads are made from neoprene and a top layer of colored nylon. The dye from the color surface will leach into your water, not sure what effect it has.
The neoprene will become sponge like overtime and I am pretty sure it will be a NO3 factory.

IMO you are better off using insulation foam sheets under(not in) your sump and tank for vibration dampening. What kind of pumps are you running with the problem?
