follow up
fyi, this is an email I sent to customer service and their response.
Hi,
I just wanted to send you these photos of the wrasse that was shipped to me. It was sent missing it's tail. I have to say I was overall disappointed with the order. I'm not blaming customer service, you guys have been great so far about crediting all the stuff that has died. But what's going on with the people who ship out your stuff? I had another order through etropicals #A230620
About 50% of that has died, and a good portion came in dead. The fish were rotted in the bags, so it did not happen
during the shipping to me. Please for the animals sake see what's going on with the wholesaler's. This was the first time I've
had fish shipped to me. I'm hoping this is not par for the course. I hate to think how many animals die everyday if this is the case.
Sincerely,
Jonathan Hale
the response from liveaquaria
Dear Jonathan,
'We do apologize for the poor quality of the wrasse on your last order. We have forwarded your email and pictures to our director who will be in contact with our vendor. Please be assured this is not a usual occurrence as we have always prided ourselves on only shipping fish that are of the best quality and health. We have put a $34.99 credit on file for the wrasse and appreciate your efforts to care for it,
Sincerely,
Bonnie

and my reply
Bonnie,
Thanks I appreciate the credit, but I am more concerned about the health and welfare of the fish. I'll take your word that it's
not common what we experienced with our order.
I have treated the wrasse and a few other fish from the order that did not look well with a 45 minute formalin dip. They seemed to look better after that. I'm hoping that they all make it. My club / website manhattanreefs.com will try to order from you again, so I hope the wholesalers get their act together.
I have a better photo of the wrasse, he came out of the tube he was in and you can see the tail missing, better than the last photos. Let me know if you want that. I also have some photos of the etropicals fish that came in dead in the bag, and one ORA dottyback that was totally beat up, missing fins and his tail : (
thanks,
Jonathan Hale
so what do you think about ordering from them again?
please let me know your opinions.
