Albert, if you didn't order yet, I have an email asking them a technical question. If their answer is satisfactory then I'll join in on the double switch too. If you ordered already.......oh well, next time :)

Thanks,
Russ

Albert, I just want to use it on my 16g bow (reef wall setup). I only have 1-5/8" between the tank trim lip and the vertical eggcrate. I know they use 1.25" pvc to house the float switch. I just don't know how thick the acrylic bracket is and how much total clearance you need to mount the unit. Hopefully they'll get back to me soon.

Thanks for your patience.

I noticed almost everyone is ordering the snail guards. The following quote is from the specs on the double switch:

Mount Information:
Made from black plastic. 4" wide and 6" total length. Each switch is held secure by two zip ties. In addition two nylon screws hold the mount secure to your tank.

Snail guards are included and will prevents aquarium inhabitants from interfering with switch operation.

They have not gotten back to me regarding my question. Sorry for the holdup. Assuming my order goes through, we'll be over the $250 mark.

hmmm, i guess we'll have to clarify that with them (i assume if they are included nobody wanted to order an EXTRA one, right?)
i wish there was just a phone number we could call up and make sure everything in clear, stinks having to wait for them to reply to e-mails (especially considering that they didnt respond yet).

Sorry everyone I haven't been following this thread or I could have answered some of your questions since I have a dual-y.

Yes they come with a snail guard and trust me you do not need another one. You zip tie the float switches to the black plastic holder so you could slip a temp probe behind it if you wanted to.

Russ, total clearance needed is 2".

Al, yes you can cancel my snail guard if it's already included.

Here's an email I received from them about lip sizes. Discounts are mention as well.

Hi Tommy, you?ll need the 1? size. The 1.5? fits AGA 55 gallon and up and some acrylic tanks.

We offer 10% off orders 250$+ and 15% off orders over 500$.
