Sick looking tank/aquascape

I have always wanted to do a floating rock in the backend of my rockwork. I forget the guy filipino guy on njreefers that I first saw this. He used magnets but this tank had me drooling to get a bigger setup and replicate it!

This is one off Favorite tanks as well. If I'm not mistaken, he zipped tied pieces of branching rocks together to form this aqua scape. This did inspire a small part of my aqua scape.

^yeah he did use a lot of zip ties. From the link provided, it shows how the basic structure with the zip ties viewable.

I would like to know what he used to stabilize it better. I personally think I would have done the PVC method and probably add some diy rock work at the joints to harden it. I will have to look for the article to verify how he did it.

I don't have the room for that amount of space right now but I think it'll be in the next 2 years and I'll follow! Hopefully, I hit the powerball sooner than later!

I thought so too at first. Apparently it's halides. coral growth is crazy. I've seen this tank before but I don't know if there is a thread on one of the major US sites. Anyone find a tank thread on an American site?

It's MH? Surprised that there is no shimmer or a hint of it. That's why I figured it was T5s.

Looks at the pics in your link. There are 3 MH reflectors over the tank. Unless he changed since then?

Metal halides still out cook all other reef lights even currently that's still running them even my frag tank have a metal halides on it ....and very good point Tonga branch been very over the bar on price when was setting up my 150 I wanted all Tonga branch aqauscape but 12 dollar a pound+shipping didn't help so I collect piece by piece and I now have 70% Tonga
