IRC Chat?

Does MR have an IRC chat? If not i think it would be a cool idea. I have gotten to know members on other reef sites better through the chats and it would be awesome me because Im pretty far away from you guys so i dont have a chance to meet many of you in person that often.

I threw this idea around a while ago and it was shot down.

Basically everyones thoughts were that if noone used the html chat that was super easy to use and highly accessible from the sitw why would anyone want to download a client and connect to a server that way.

I guess thats a good point. That little box is not the easiest to read though.
