H2o2 dosing short term with carbon you can see improvements in your tank as it will increase o2 in your tank and kill off alot of bad bacteria but you need to heavily resupport the system with benefical bacteria, amino's, other supplements. Its not a long term dosing option as it creates a crapload of bad stuff for your tank and neutralizes beneficial amino's and stuff. H2o2 dosing has only been around for 6 months or so and its only been semi tested heavily recently. Be really careful with it because there isn't much info on it to properly say its working or not.
IMO, if your seeing an improvement in your tank after dosing H2o2 (peroxide) then your doing something wrong in the first place. Increase your oxygen intake into the tank, increase water changes and clean your tank out of waste and junk (meaning better husbandry). Its going to produce the same effect without any bad side effects.
There are pro's and cons to everything we do outside the basic maintenance and dosing. IMO, you can get the same effects with just doing great husbandry to your tank and dosing the proper supplements as you get vodka dosing or using H2o2.
With vodka, zeo, or any carbon dosing the same effects can be produced with the proper supplementation. The only thing thats happening is a massive clearing of "bad" bacteria and a super increase of beneficial bacteria producing that low nutrient tank. Its not the carbon thats making your coral color up insanely its the amino's, bacteria, supplements that are creating it. Your corals need to soak up something with the quick loss of bad bacteria.
