Sea hare gone?

I added 2 sea hares to my tank about 6 weeks ago the first on was small and disappeared after about 2 weeks so I bought a lg one and he was a ha eating machine but I haunt seen him or other guy in at least a week should I pick rocks out to try and find them I don't want they running water if they r dead
I had a sea hare b4 with no issues for months

they're probably dead. I wouldn't pick apart the rocks to find them, I'd just check the water parameters and probably do a large water change. their bodies break down pretty quickly. Did he finish all the hair algae? I've tried twice with them and both died within 2 weeks, neither did any damage to the hair algae. I found the first one and got him out, never saw the second one.

They started didn't finish it's weird the one I had b4 worked like a charm I'm hoping he's just under the sand snozzing

Same thing happened to me, saw him all over the place but now he's gone.

Same thing here. bought 2 large sea hare. they disappeared in 2 weeks. I broke down tank and couldnt find them.

Weird u would think they would decompose muck up tank

they may not be gone. They like to dig themselves under the sand and stay there for a good portion of the day. That is what my sea hares did before committing suicide by powerhead.

Mine just died after a week,it was just shriveld up sitting there with a nassaris snail by its side ,so it got flushd

I put 2 sea hares in my tank and they all disappeared after about 2 weeks. I did find out form one of the guys at the fish store they do disappear when they run out of food, and you find nothing left of them. I stopped getting them, a waste of money.
PS: I had 2 very big ones, and they do get stuck on powerheads.
