placement for favia's?

where do they belong? sand or on rock? just curious because i just got one around 6 inches long and 4 inches wide...

i find favias are adaptable to most lighting conditions. i have 1 on the sand bed and 2 mid- high in the tank and they all are growing. i run t 5s so if metal halide i would think low on the sand bed would be better
