i use a 2 gallon container and add NO MORE then 2 teaspoons.i dont need a pump because i just shake the container every once in awhile.if you are using a big container i would put a small pump at the bottom because kalk settles to the bottom.1 teaspoon per gallon

when kalk is exsposed to oxygen it becomes less potent keep that in mind so i wouldnt mix to much up at once unless its a closed container and i would go atleast one teasp per gal but sure a half would be a good place to start remember kalk really wont raise your levels but will aid in keeping them where they need to be u still should be adding an a /b or some other buffer calcium supplement oh and dont forget mag brightwell kalk plus 2 is a good kalk check it out if u haveent already

I already purchased seecham brand gonna give it a whirl !
So I'm gonna use a 4 gal plastic can with a maxi Jett 900 used with my ato
How should I mix the kalk in ?
Also when it gets down to the last gal. Should I clean the bucket out and start again ????
Do I need a stand for the pump to keep it off the bottom ?
Does the container need a top ?

Matt just fill the 4 gal container and add kalk and stir. I just use a stick..LOL works fine. Add kalk till the PH is around 11+ and let it settle before powering the pump. There should also be a top...mine isn't airtight and it's fine. Also you don't have to clean it that often because it settles anyway ..just don't let the pump suck in the residue on the bottom.....monitor your alk and PH in the tank when the ATO kicks on ...you don't want a big spike.
