too bad the yellow pearlys i got couldn't make a home and jumped out of the tank

Over priced if you ask me, wait around FT has a tendacy to put stuff on sale if it doesn't move at the asking price.

Also those fishes were BIG.

Blue spots grow large and are infamous jumpers - BTW, $99 is cheap for one. I have seen them for $169 at Absolutely Fish.

Tank MUST be completely covered and have a very deep fine aragonite sand bed to flourish.

99 bucks for a jawfish is expensive...
but the blue spotted are hard to come around...

i've had two jawfish in an uncovered tank before i moved my tank
they just need the right gravel to make their burrow and
once they do and satistifed w/ it... the chance of them jumping out is close to nothing

well, making a satisfactory home for them (for most) is unlikely. I agree with you, once thier happy, they're good to go.

I haven't seen a blue spot under $100 since I started this hobby 5 years ago not to mention I have rarely seen them.

i don't know if you guys seen this program on discovery or something...

they were talking about the predators in the sea... and if i remember correctly they were talking about a stonefish or something... and the prey... a blue spotted jawfish... what a waste~

Yea, I was there today and saw those jawfish, man their beautiful. I always wanted a jawfish only tank ever since I saw one at the mystic aquarium.

J, that tank was the highlight of my trip there years ago - I want to get one of those clam tanks and make it a jawfish tank - would be awesome.

Seems the blue spot jawfish is being illegally imported. There is debate over whether this should be the case enviromentally speaking, but it is none-the-less the case.

FYI Cortezmarine on the thread is Steve Robinson the foremost colletor in the region and net caught trainer extrodinaire.
