My Hippo Tang, you want to talk about a voracious eater? That is an understatement. I've had him/her for 6 years. Got him/her when it was the size of a dime. It has been inflicted with ich, popeye, fungus, injuries and the whole time, ate like it was a goat. This guy/gal takes advantage of it's "built for speed" design and darts around the tank and eats until he/she is bloated like a fatty fat fat fat. The disgusting part?...when my Yellow tang poops,...yes,...it eats my Yellow tang's poop like its Kobe Beef. Oh yeah, it eats it's own poop too....and loves it. The psycho part?...after every feeding, it's black stripe turns a darkish yellow and zips around the tank, seemingly pissed off that there is no more food. It will go by the power head, wiggle it's tale by the power head to dislodge any food that got caught and eat that too. Wiggle its tale in the sand looking for...whatever. And that's my story of my greedy, disgusting, psycho Hippo tang. (Love that fish!) Thanks for reading.
) was just like that. The cool thing about it was not only how fast he was to get most on the food thrown in the tank, but how graceful he was while speeding around. He was a poop eater as well.
