who's got the BIGGEST non-institutional Salt/Reef tank in all of NYC?

not that bigger is better:bigeyes2: -- i happen to like nanos the best  because of space issues in urban living... and minimizing the drain on natural habitat destruction (think all that live rock stripping... etc)

but i was just wondering, are there any nyc reefers that have been salt/reef mad to the point that they have monster-size salt or reef tanks? its my perception that 180 G is the biggest standard size people would be working with but maybe i'm way off? because i seen a few news articles over the years like extreme estates and hotels and stuff that boast gigantic million gallon tanks or whatever...but of course they're not anywhere in ny city. i think...

there is a pet shhop on 86 and lex called "pets on lex"
and one of the workers claims to have an 800 gallon SW tank.
not sure if he is lying or not, cause he doesnt seem to know anything about saltwater,
and whenever i ask him what kinda fish he has he allways tell me that he has had it for many mnay years, and just keeps a few damsels in it.
his nose also gets longer when he tells me this, but thats just a side point.
my guess is he is lying.
hehe

I am reliably advised by a local maintenance firm that they support several 2,500 - 4,500 gal. set-ups in the City.....custom work from various tank-makers in the US and Canada. One in the office of a well-known sports franchise owner. Several in department stores, etc. Heck...can you imagine the skimmer size alone?

I own Aquatic Creations in Brooklyn so these are tanks I take care of.
the 1200 gallon tank is 10'x4'x4'
second floor lighting was nothing special
I really don't like tanks like this and don't do them anymore I mostly do reef tanks now don't like the fish only systems.

Suprised nobody mentioned the amazing reef tank at Atlantis Marine World, in Riverhead, LI. That is the biggest reef i've ever seen! Plenty of pics in the photo gallery, check them out! :)
