Hello everyone. I have a Red Sea Max 130, and I recently installed the Tunze 9002 with the StevieT upgraded cup. But I don't have the Media Rack, but I will be getting it soon. Now I have a question for people that might have my exact tank and has the Tunze 9002, w/ the upgraded cup. Whenever I set up the Tunze w/ the ugraded cup on it, I set it up with the "water level line" that is marked on the Tunze. Now, when I close my hood, the Tunze and cup get pushed down. So, the water level in the back chamber is above the marked water level line on the Tunze, and is right at where the big box part of the Tunze ends (not sure if that made sense, but about half and inch above the marked water level line on the Tunze). Thanks for any input that can be thrown my way.

Well I don't have Red Sea Max but I have tunze in my setup and what I can tell you is that it's not good when water line is above the top of the plastic box as the water level inside the skimmer is going to be thesame which prevents it from making bubbles. I know it sucks, but if you can close the hood while not pushing the skimmer down, there's only two ideas I can think of- either lower the water level in this chamber somehow or cut the stevie cup a little bit.

Hey Zanymaster. Glad to hear from ya, was hoping you would reply. I try and post a pic in a sec, but I have the Tunze on the right hand side. It's about an inch away from resting up on the right hand side. So there's really nothing in the back chamber besides the Tunze, mesh bag w/ carbon, and a little piece of sponge by the glass pane, where the heater is. Would you say that it is a problem that the water level is above the water level line that is marked on the Tunze?
