pHOSPHATE .30 FROM MY RO UNIT

Any one have any clue how to get he rid of phosphate coming out of 6 stage ro unit with 2 deionizer . 150 gal p/d unit it is only 6 month old i already change carbon and deionize filter

I was looking at the directions of my new Kent Maxxima just a few minutes ago and it states, "IMPORTANT: Most phosphate and nitrate test kits cannot read R/O, Deionized water properly. If testing these, they will give a FALSE positive reading." Of coure, if you had been testing your phosphates before hand and were getting 0 then this is probably not the case.

why 150 gal memberain no good

How old is the unit, and how much water do you make per day. these two factors will determine your membrane life.

weekly 50 gal i have 55 gal saltwater and 150 gal and 29 gal qt i bought it last oct /2009 it said good for 24 month and i check the hardness it shows 0 on strip

i check with my friends henna digital it shows .9 hardness tds

Do you have your RO hooked up to a float switch? If the RO is turning off-on-off-on-off a few times a day, you'll blow up the membrane pretty quickly.

Are you also pitching the first gallon or so out of your filter?

Is your water pressure high enough to actually permeate the membrane?
