I'll be in Midtown tomorrow, where's a good fish store to go to?

Hello everyone. i'm gonna be in the city tomorrow and wanted some suggestions on good fish stores in Midtown. Somewhere with good prices. Thanks.

If you happen to be on the East Side, check out New World on 38th and 3rd/2nd. (I forget which ave. I just walk till I find it) It's worth the stop if you're over there, but not a special trip.

I respectfully disagree. I have had a number of experiences at this store - I found the staff to be very rude (with the exception of 2 guys in there) and the prices beyond reasonable. I understand you have to pay the $$$ rent, but there are other options that I'll get to in a minute. Anyway, I know I'm not alone here regarding the rude staff at NWA - check the reviews.

I just so happen to find this other store on 37th btwn 10th/11th - http://www.uniquecorals.com/contacts/ I needed to get rid of my triggers that outgrew my tank and this store offered me a very generous store credit for them. When I walked in I thought to myself, "where have you been all my life!?" They have an amazing 1200 gallon tank when you first walk in. Not to mention the staff was very kind. The prices AND selection were far better than New World. My guess is that many people just haven't found this place, and go to NWA reluctantly as I did because it seemed to be the only convenient aquarium shop in manhattan. But decide for yourself.

EDIT: ok now i feel like a true idiot. uniquecorals is the website, the above posters already mentioned the store i've been raving about. HA!

Manhattan Aquariums +1. Knowledgeable, highly professional, and reasonable prices. The two times I have been there I was treated like a king and my gf only bought two $20 frags. They understand the value of a lifetime customer as they gained one after his second visit. Mention MR for a discount.
