This may sound silly, but I was wondering if I can do cooking with sea salt we use in our fish tanks. I stumbled upon a canister of sea salt in the grocery store for $8.99. I can fill that up for $0.25 worth from my reef crystal bucket. You guys ever consumed tank salt?

I have no idea of the answer but this question is my vote for reeftank related question of the year 2010. Hell, it's early but I nominate it for reeftank related question of the decade.

Once in a while when i siphon water out my tank :teeth:, but i wouldn't recommend puting synthetic salt in your food and besides too much salt is no good for you anyway.

Most things edible are blessed. But not salt. All salt is kosher. But Kosher "Branded" Salt has to do with, nothing added to the salt except anti caking agents, and the grain size and shape.
