My chiller was in my wet room 12x12 where all my pumps ect are. Room runs very warm expecially when the chiller is on because the evaporator coil is being cooled my a fan which blows the heat in the same room. I do have multiple fans in the room and one over the sump but no way with out the a/c blasting would the tank go below 83-85 on a day like today. Now my tank is holding at 78 so It gives me time to work on my $900 POS chiller.

I have a two year old 1/2 HP Aqua Logic drop in chiller for my tanks in office. The fan of the chiller was running constantly, but I did not know the chiller was actully not working. When l I found the problem, the temp was 87F. I was in a panic, fortunately, I have a 1-1/2HP spare new chiller for immediate installation.

I hope there is a rental business for drop in chillers in this area to meet the urgent need from the members.

I had a client with the exact same situation. Unfortunately his was in the Laundry room and the Chiller was getting killed by the clothes dryer. Is it possible to put a small a/c window unit in that room?

Remember a chiller can only removed so many degrees from the water in ratio with the static temperature of its placement.
I.E. If your chiller is placed in a 90 degree room, it may only be able to drop the water temperature 1 degree. (this is a exaggeration, but you get the idea)

Give your chiller lots of room to breath. Best case scenario is to have 12" clearance all around the chiller in a well ventilated room. Preferably a room with A/C

Have you checked the fan intakes behind the chiller to make sure they aren't clogged with dust and debris? You need to perform at least yearly maintenance on your chillers cleaning off their dust covers and such. Otherwise they won't be able to cool your tank properly.
