1ucky: thre are tons of things i can collect locally. obviously live rock but i've seen damsels,french angels, puffers, mantis, feather dusters, wrasses, tangs, monties, anemones and so on and so forth in just 4 feet or less of water. i'm sure that in deeper waters there are tons more fish and corals one could find.

kathy there are some nice pet shops here and there but i'm not used to the prices. i guess i got too used to MR members deals. when i first got here i asked, "how much for that 2-3" frag of hammer coral?" the guy said $100 and i knew that setting up a tank right away was not going to happen.

salty dog rincon is cool. the beach i went to had some rough waves so i didn't enjoy it much. but next time i go i would love to snorkel.
