I have a cadlights tank, and my peacock mantis jumped over into the rear compartment. Hes able to move between the first and third chamber underneath the second chamber which houses the skimmer. I cant get him out and I need some help! Anyone?

Hold a silverside between your thumb and forefinger. Dangle it down low in the chamber he's in. When he closes in on it, release it and then grab him around the torso.

Have a video camera ready for pix to go onto YouTube.

This is just a joke. This is not a real recommendation. Do not follow the above instructions. J/K

The mantis shrimp is truly one of the fastest animals on the planet, not just in the sea.

Good luck I hope you get it done quickly and easily.

get yourself a stocking/knee high, wrap a piece of food in it, when he tries to get it he should get tangled to a small degree, but this will allow you to get him with some tongs, cup or trap of sorts. you have to do this quick since he will figure it out and the jig will be up. Then you will have to try something different because they learn quickly.

Yeah they are smart little buggers too. The stocking trick will work but I would tie it off with some fishing line and pull it up quickly like that keep your fingers far away.

Btw 50 bucks is what a finger is worth nowadays?
