Yes they have it but I went last time and they took the frag racks away.

Most of the people working there are JERKS. What sucks is... some customers actually listen to them

So, because I bought food there I am an idiot too I guess?I really dont think there is a need to attack the customers if the people who work there lead them in the wrong direction..That was just an immature statement ...

Exactly why I asked in my first post.

Perhaps he was bored enough one particular day to stand outside FT and conduct a survey which led him to the conclusion that exactly 50% of their customers are idiots.

I think your all idiots for automatically categorizing yourself into the 50% he's calling idiots =0) :tub: Don't pick stupid fights on the forums and you should rethink what your writing before you post something stupid in the first place Aznt. He should think twice about his post because in saying that he himself looks like an idiot. To half back up his statement if read differently, more than half the people walking into any fish store don't know enough about what they are buying or don't care beyond the fact that they want a fish and need to have it. So, id say +50% are uneducated enough for more than half of their purchases, but i wouldn't call them idiots.

My PM's are open =0P

O man I wouldn't have imagined I would get flamed for that comment. Excuse me for the ignorance. I'll edit it.

It's called a comment and a sweeping generalization to express a point. And for those who took it as an offense directed to anybody in MR... for those of the members who know me that is an insane conclusion to draw.

Anyway, to the point. I am referring to those who actually blindly listen to the workers... from such comments like

"Lionfish are fine it's reef safe."
"Purple Queen Anthias are really easy to take care of"
"Absolutely you can put 3 firefish in a tank"
"Oh yea a harlequin tusk will do fine in a 50 gallon easily"
"The sting ray should be okay in a 125"
"Lionfish are reef safe, no problem!"

A few of the ones I heard.

It's all good though I got this on:

This is more of what I was referring to. The lack of due diligence. I edited the comment to appease those who were offended.

have you brought anything from them yourself, how do you know the place if you have not been there :irked::irked:

Yes, I have bought stuff from there. Freshwater fish and dry goods.

By the way it's BOUGHT (don't take that as an offensive comment either). Neither did I say I don't go there and haven't bought anything from there. I know their livestock are hit or miss.

Also... if read carefully I clearly state that I have been to fishtown before... I said they took the frag racks away LAST TIME I WAS THERE.

Realizing that this is an online forum, a lot can get lost in translation given the medium of communication is read and not spoken. But anyway, now that all is said and done and that I clarified myself. I was driving more towards the second part of your post.

P.S. I already thought twice about the post and realize that it was a bad joke.

Wow... I didn't know that. Glad she didn't start mouthing of to me. Well that being said, I would go there rarely, just to check on what is new. Not ever again.

Can you imagine if they worked with MR members and listened to make the store better...

Oh well...

I go in to basically look at what they have in that's new. They get some weird things in that look pretty cool.

But after speaking to people who used to work there and even trying to get a job there at one point. The owner/manager said.... as long as you can sell stuff you don't have to know anything. Just sell, sell, and sell.

Sure, if you don't mind a noticeable decrease in light output.

Your metal halide bulbs easily surpass the luminosity of my poor 35 watt mercury vapor HID bulbs

Unless you want me to mate the bulbs to a nice BMW E30 clear lens or TSX-R + AP1 S2000 projector overdriven by a 55w german HID ballast with Phillips DL50 "fatboy" bulbs.
It would come close to a 70w HQI DE setup, I suppose, though most of the light is focused on the center of the cutoff. Looks like you'll have to keep your SPS and clams right at that center.

lol Holyherbiness go retrofit some HID's on my TANK
