Due to the economy???

Has anyone limited their purchases in buying corals or other stuff related to your reef hobby due to the economy? I know I did, I haven't purchased any corals in over 2 months now and that is a record for me. I am so :irked: at the economy.

Same here!! I'm now very selective on what I purchase. I only made one purchase in the last month!

I've cut back partly because of the economy and partly because I don't have any room left in my tank. So the "economy" reason, not to buy corals, was probably a good thing for me. That being said I've made up for it in other areas.

Economy has had nothing to do with my tank purchases. If I want something, I work some overtime and take that money and use it towards my purchase, and there is plenty of overtime to be had.

Economy has very recently just hit my hospital hard! I had to really stop buying stuff. HOWEVER, being the addict I have just become, I am getting extra shifts but only buying a frag here and there.
This economy is scary! I was planning on buying a new big tank, obviously not happening anytime soon sadly now

I have a nice new tank almost ready to be setup. Due to the economy and the lack of available overtime, my tank is STILL not running. UGH :hairy:

Yea I even had to hold off a bit on maintenance Items such as new phosban and chemipure, even though its been a month cause money has to go elsewhere. Ive also began hand cleaning my filter sock in RODI every cpl days rather than buy a new one to keep spending down

I finshed my 180 FOWLR and was going to set up a 90 reef. Even have the lights and rock, but the wife said "no" to anymore spending. So for now I sell frags from my nano to make room for the occasional new frag.

It hasn't affected the money i spend on my tank but I do spend less on other things like going out and i try not to break parts on my motorcycles anymore that alone saves me a fortune ... no more wheelies

sorry to hear Lenny. hopefully swc will stick around through this time. There arent many SW LFS in brooklyn especially in the bensonhurst area.

Wingo there are lots of babies out there and they need babysitters, being that is my primary profession those bums should be fine.
