Im sorry to paste rc here...but this looks interesting. They said it is an I-tech skimmer....never heard of it, and cant find any info on it....looks like they took a reeflow orca 250 skimmer and replaced the body with a conical one instead.[/font]

Interesting, looks like another knockoff cone skimmer. American made with an aquabee pump. This place carries them www.ichthythings.com

There's a bunch of cones out right now, and hopefully they'll drive the price down.

Give them a call, they carry the i-tech skimmers. They are manufactured in Fla. and come with either an aquabee or a laguna pump depending on model size.

Thane , I have had my I-Tech Skimmer for approximately a month now . I love this thing . I have had 2 custom skimmers from local builders , a Euro Reef 8-2 , and a Downdraft custom . I didn't own, but tried a becket . Then I had the Euro Reef moded to an RC skimmer . One od the custom skimmers had a 14" Dia reaction chamber , and was 60" tall . It had 3 Sedra 9000 needle pumps . None of these could come anywhere close to a I-Tech skimmer .

$280 Small (100 gal)
$530 Medium (200 gal)

if you read through the forums, the link to the site, ickyfishthings.com...it seems to be a compilation of a few different models. the thing is abbout $550, for the medium one. it seems to be assembled and designed by the guys in FL.

Without starting a war over skimmers it looks like an afordable atb...with some minor tweeks. I have spoken to the owner several times and it sounds like a very promising product. we will see....

Hi guys,

I have an I-Tech 100 on my 100 gallon tank and I could not be more pleased. I've tried many skimmers over the years. I've had an Aquamedic Turbofloater 1000, EuroReef RS80, ASM G3, ATB small (over 1K) and the I-Tech 100. The I-Tech is an incredible skimmer and reasonably priced. Until I-Tech got the go-ahead from Tunze (they had to approve the Venturi I-Tech supplies with the Tunze pump for warranty reasons) I-Tech just sold the skimmer and reccomended the Aquabee (Tunze was just releasing the skimmer pumps for testing at that time)

Its 1 heck of a skimmer. Great value too.
