Uv streilizer queastion

I will be getting a reef ready 90 gal and my question is where and how should I run the uv?Would it need to be ran seperate from the return with a different pump?Or can I run it inline somehow??Any suggestions?Thanks

It depends on what your goal is with the UV. There is different flow rates for killing algae, bacteria or protozoans. I have a chart that describes this somewhere. I'll dig it up and post it here.

In the meantime, What do you want to accomplish with the UV?

I hooked mine up with its own pump pulling from the sump and dumping back into the sump next to the skimmer inlet.

Although this is for Emperor Aquatics UVs, the guidlines can be applied to other UVs. Look up the gallonage (is that a real word? LOL) of your tank and scroll across the row for recommended wattage, It will also give you options on flow rate based on your intentions.
