I fresh tested my tank today and the closed loop pump noise is killing me! I am running a Sequence 3200 mounted on a 1x8 composite board with an ineffective 1/2" styrofoam vibration dampener. I either need to quiet this one down quite a bit or replace it with something a little newer and a lot quieter! Any suggestions on either silenceing it or a good quiet replacement? Heres a video to show you the god awful racket. Sounds similar to and electric transformer.

Some of you might recognize the tank it is formerly Loismustdie's.

Cost to be the boss.. lol.. External pumps make noise... Unless sealed in a heat making, humidity holding, tightly sealed styrofoam, sealed cabinet... Or you could drop the extra system to the basement...

Happy Reefing...

I realize that Chris ran his sump fuge and pumps in a remote basement set-up. Trust me if I could I would be doing the same, what I am asking for are some ways to make the vibrations not transfer to stand as to help quiet the system down. I am open to any theories or suggestions. Thank you.
